Africam Safari

Africam Safari is about 16 km (10 mi.) s. of Puebla on the road to Valsequillo, at Km marker 16.5 (follow signs). This ecological park is a bit of Africa on the Mexican high plains, where such animals as lions, tigers, giraffes, buffaloes, deer and peacocks roam freely. Visitors can get out of their cars at certain locations for picture-taking opportunities. The Adventure Zone, a zoo and activities area geared toward kids, features kangaroos, anteaters, meerkats, a bat cave and pony rides. You can also see a live bird show. Buses to Africam depart Tuesday through Sunday from the Zócalo in downtown Puebla.
