AAA Inspector Notes
Situated on a 300-foot cliff on the northeast coast, one of the several unique aspects of this resort is their private off-shore island complete with restaurant, water sports and sugar-sand beaches. The resort is divided into various villages with Las Casitas being the most exclusive while, due to its proximity to the water park, La Marina Village is recommended for families. You can also experience restaurants galore throughout the resort campus. In order to ease the check-in experience the El Conquistador villages and Las Casitas have separate check-in areas. The plethora of restaurants include an upscale steak house, a refined Italian restaurant, an Asian eatery and more. Also frequent magic shows should not be missed. Pros: The location is amazing. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My view was nothing short of spectacular. I loved the private balcony. The in-room coffee was delicious. The food I ordered from room service was consistently outstanding.
Cons: Most of the staff were very friendly  from room service). However, some were less friendly and seemed bothered to have to help me. I think staff morale needs a boost.

Pros: Las Casitas area was relatively new and very well maintained and very pretty!
Cons: Food prices were pretty high--like higher than Manhattan pricing for some items, which I found to be a bit exploitative.

Pros: Gorgeous location with private island and water park access.
Cons: Since its connected to the conquistador hotel there is not much to do on the casitas side. Meaning long walk every time you want to experience some of the conquistadors amenities.
