The National Gallery of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, formerly known as Convento de los Dominicos, is at 98 Calle Norzagaray. Housed in a former 16th-century convent the museum displays Colonial art and paintings. One room is devoted to the display of wooden santos. Cultural activities are regularly presented in the interior patio. Exhibits on the second floor include Tainos art as well as 21st-century contemporary folk and decorative pieces.
