This is one of my favorite spots to vacation because this oceanfront resort captures the elegant refinement of yesteryear with the comforts of today.
AAA Inspector Notes
Built as the first luxury resort in the Caribbean, circa 1919, this opulent historic hotel is quite contemporary. Guest rooms are upscale with all of the enhanced technology today's traveler expects. A Spanish Revival architectural design is evident throughout. Just past the reception is one of the property's many showcase areas, the Vanderbilt Court, which serves as the sophisticated heart of the property with its nightly entertainment and highly adorned surroundings. A furnished terrace spills out from the Vanderbilt Court to ocean views. Epicureans will be delighted at the restaurant options available, too. After a night of wining and dining, the spa and state-of-the-art fitness center will offer more ways to decompress during your well-earned vacation. An exclusive airport meet-and-greet can be arranged for an extra cost, if request is made in advance. All suite category guest units come with butler service.
