Pointe-des-Monts Historic Lighthouse (Phare de Pointe-des-Monts) is 5 km (3 mi.) w. on Hwy. 138, then 11 km (7 mi.) s. following signs. Two iron cannons, fired to warn ships during times of heavy fog, are near the 1830 lighthouse. A staircase leads to the top of the lighthouse, which affords an excellent view.
The Pointe-des-Monts Historic Lighthouse Corp. has displays pertaining to a lighthouse keeper's lifestyle, navigation and shipwrecks off Pointe-des-Monts. Whales and many species of waterfowl can be seen.
