Coaticook River Gorge Park (Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook) is at 400 rue St. Marc. A 3.5-kilometre (2 mi.) trail with wooden steps and a suspension bridge parallels the pre-glacial gorge with cliffs rising to 50 metres (164 ft.). The Nocturnal Experience is a multimedia presentation portraying the world of nature that comes to life after dark, incorporating local heritage and the folklore of the forest. A playground also is on-site. Note: The steep terrain may be difficult for some to negotiate. Nonslip walking shoes are required. Guided tours in English are available. Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted.
$6.52; $3.91 (ages 6-15) for first child, $1.96 for each additional child. Reservations are required for guided tours.
Hours: Tours are offered daily 9-7, June 24-day before Labour Day; 10-5, first weekend in May-June 23 and Labour Day-last week in Oct.
