Marie-Victorin Park (Parc Marie-Victorin) is at 385 boul. Marie-Victorin. Fantastic 3-D mosaicultures—ornamental plant sculptures depicting people, wildlife and flora—are the highlight of this sprawling site built in honor of botanist Brother Marie-Victorin. The multifaceted attraction also features a tropical greenhouse housing exotic birds; a “healthy garden” showcasing heirloom vegetables and medicinal plants; the tranquil Waterfall Garden; the Path of Curiosities, boasting a collection of miniature trees; and the Wetland Garden, dotted by giant metal insects. Such special events as food tastings, gardening demonstrations and family-friendly activities are regularly scheduled throughout the summer. A guided tour of the Cascades factory, which produces packaging and tissue products made mainly from recycled materials, describes the Kingsey Falls-based company's eco-friendly manufacturing methods. Visitors are advised to wear appropriate footwear for gravel paths. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
