The Pioneers Mill (Moulin des Pionniers), 4205 ch. des Pionniers, is the site of an 1889 sawmill; the current working mill dates from the early 1920s. Other highlights include a working blacksmith’s forge and workshop, a machine shop, an interpretation center, a 1904 farmhouse, a waterway for salmon to get upstream past the dam and mountain biking and hiking trails past the site's 21 species of trees. A new Enchanted Forest exhibit transports children and adults into a fairytale world, with stories on placards to read as you go. In summer, outdoor theater shows are performed by professional and amateur actors. Food is available.
