AAA Inspector Notes
This may be the largest, most luxurious log cabin you'll ever visit. The three original buildings of this classic castle, which dates to 1930, were constructed with 10,000 red-cedar logs. It's an upscale family-friendly resort that offers an array of on-site recreational activities, a modern convention center, a curling rink, an outstanding indoor pool and upscale guest units, ranging from very good-size rooms to spacious suites. Guest unit corridors extend out like spokes from the central lobby, which features a memorable multi-sided stone fireplace that is an ideal backdrop for a family photograph or an evening of cocktails. S'mores are offered at the outdoor fire pit in evenings. Smoke free premises. 211 units. 3 stories, interior corridors.

Pros: The significant historic value of the property The rusticness Resolving of my concerns by manager in evening and recommendations of staff for things to do in the area Quality of food and wait staff
Cons: The pandering to weddings (there were 4) who took over the common areas due to rain leaving others to be spectators, Poor options for evening due to deluge other than very limited TV selection most films were for non thinkers

Pros: Lovely resort, lots of amenities and so many places to just sit and relax. The property is filled with beautiful flower gardens, waking paths and activities. We enjoyed the resort's golf course with some lovely panoramic views at some high points. The personnel is very professional and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Great view. Lots of things to do (kayak, swimming, badminton, basketball, bicycling,...) Received strawberries covered in chocolate on our room for our honeymoon and a lakeview room. Fantastic lobby.
Cons: Got attacked by mosquitos near the property. 25 CAD resort fee, obligatory to pay, to do the activities. Should be included in the high room rate.
