Classic Historic. Family run since 1932, this vintage corner delicatessen served as a location for the 1974 film The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, starring Richard Dreyfuss. The décor remains virtually untouched. Patrons can take a seat at the counter and enjoy a Wilensky special sandwich made with salami, bologna and a choice of cheese, or nosh on a chopped egg sandwich, half-sour dill pickles, karnatzel (Jewish-style beef sausage infused with garlic, assorted seasonings and hot spice) or an all-beef hot dog. And, don’t miss out on their egg cream soda.
