Capital Observatory (Observatoire de la Capitale) is at 1037 rue de la Chevrotière at jct. boul. René-Lévesque, on the 31st floor of the Marie Guyart Building, the city's tallest edifice. Visitors ascend 221 metres (725 ft.) to the observation level, which affords excellent views of the city, the river and the Laurentians. Multimedia displays, including interactive touch screen terminals and sound booths, relate the history of the area. Tickets are sold at the reception area on the ground floor, adjacent to the main entrance at 1037 de la Chevrotière St.
$10.45; $8.40 (ages 65+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-12).
Hours: Daily 10-5, Feb. 1-second Sun. in Oct.; Tues.-Sun. 10-5, rest of year.
