Sherbrooke Historical Society (Société d'histoire de Sherbrooke) is at 275 rue Dufferin. A former postal office built in 1885 houses the city's archives as well as two exhibition halls featuring interactive historical displays. Self-guiding iPad or iPod heritage tours are available through the interpretation center. Guided walks around the Magog River Gorge and tours of the Frontenac Power Station also can be arranged. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$7; $6 (ages 55+); $5 (ages 13-17 and students with ID); $4 (ages 7-12); $12 (family). Reservations are required for guided tours.
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-5, Sat.-Sun. 10-5, late June-early Sept.; Tues.-Fri. 9-noon and 1-5, Sat.-Sun. 1-5, rest of year.
