Argenteuil Regional Museum (Musée régional d'Argenteuil) is at 44 Rte. du Long Sault. The museum is in a four-story stone barracks constructed 1834-37 to house soldiers building the first Carillon Canal. The barracks housed 108 men during the Rebellion of 1837. Displays include local history items, military artifacts and natural history specimens, including the Argenteuil: My Life as a River exhibit.
$5; $3 (ages 65+ and students ages 13-18 with ID); free (ages 0-12).
Hours: Wed.-Sun. 10-5, June 19-Labour Day; Sun. 11-4, day after Labour Day-Oct. 31; Tues.-Fri. by appointment, rest of year.
