Carillon Generating Station

Carillon Generating Station is just s. of Hwy. 344. Narrated tours of this generating station, built on the Ottawa River near the site of the 1660 Battle of Long Sault, last 75 minutes. The facility is operated by Hydro-Québec, a provincially owned electric utility corporation based in Montréal. Interpretive displays are on-site as is a lock at the dam site.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour, 45 minutes minimum.
