Early Canadians Woodcarving Museum (Musée de sculpture sur bois des Anciens Canadiens), 4 km (2.5 mi.) s. on Hwy. 132 at 332 av. de Gaspé Ouest, displays more than 250 carvings and handicrafts by local artisans, including works by the Bourgault brothers. Among the collection's highlights are a life-size sculpture of Parti Québécois founder René Lévesque, J.G. Clouthier's “Face of Moses” on a section of burl (a growth from an elm tree with oddly distorted grain) and wood reproductions of Norman Rockwell illustrations.
