Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area (Réserve nationale de faune du cap Tourmente), 10 km (6 mi.) n.e. of Beaupré off Hwy. 360, is a major habitat for migrating snow geese on their way from the Arctic to a winter home in the Carolinas. The 2,399 hectares (5,930 acres) of marshy plains along the St. Lawrence accommodate thousands of geese in April and May and from the last week of September to late October.

The changing foliage provides a vivid backdrop for viewing many bird species as well as other wildlife. Twenty kilometres (12 mi.) of nature trails wind through marsh, plain and forest.

Nature activities and guided tours are available by reservation; narration in English is offered.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted.
