Sir Wilfrid Laurier National Historic Site (Lieu historique national de Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier) is at the jct. of hwys. 158 and 337 at 945 12th Ave. Born in St-Lin in 1841, Sir Wilfrid Laurier was the first French Canadian to head the federal government (1896-1911). The 1870 house is furnished in period, vividly re-creating the interior of a mid-19th-century rural home. Guided tours offer visitors a look at Sir Wilfrid Laurier's lifestyle when he was a child. Adjoining the house is an interpretation center with displays detailing Laurier's life.
