The Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre (Centre d'interprétation des mammifères marins), 108 de la Cale-Sèche, educates visitors about the world's largest mammal—the whale—through a variety of hands-on exhibits. Visitors can compare a whale's breathing patterns to their own, listen to the singing of the whales and see a model of the world's second-largest whale. Bilingual guides are available to answer questions. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$14; free (ages 0-17 with an adult).
Hours: Daily 9-8, early June-late Sept.; 11-6, late Sept. to mid-Oct.; noon-5, mid-May to early June.
