Thetford Mines Mining and Mineralogical Museum

Thetford Mines Mining and Mineralogical Museum (Musée Minéralogique et Minier de Thetford Mines), 711 boul. Frontenac Ouest, focuses on asbestos, mineralogy, geology and mining history. Collections include more than 15,000 mineral specimens from around the world, including one 3.8 billion years old. Five different exhibitions are presented each year.

A 2-hour guided tour of five historical mines departs from the museum; narration in English is offered.
