Museum of Art

Museum of Art (Museo de Arte) is at Calle Allende Sur #14. It is housed in a former monastery, the Convent of San Agustín (Convento de San Agustín), an outstanding example of baroque architecture built in 1731 by Mexican architect Ignacio Mariano de las Casas. The building's exterior ornamentation is as impressive as the collection of Mexican colonial and European art inside.
