What an emotional experience it was for me swimming with endangered sea turtles just steps from the resort's shoreline. Simply incredible!

Located in Akumal, which is Mayan for "place of the turtle," this adults-only, all-inclusive resort is ideal for a complete relaxation experience or to take part in a host of recreational activities. All of the first-floor guest rooms have a swim-up feature. You step out of your guest room and directly into an interconnecting pool. Each unit also has a two-person jetted tub; some even have one on the balcony. The grounds are phenomenal, featuring several water features and well-designed landscaping. Multiple gourmet restaurants are on site, and twice a week tickets can be purchased for a dinner show.
