Very close to Playa del Carmen, with a nice sandy beach. Despite the food poisoning the food and drinks were good and the staff curteous.
Pros: Great staff, very beautiful resort, nice beach with good swimming. Overall, a very nice resort.
Cons: Both my wife and I had food poisoning last a day each. I did mention it to the resort, but received no response. Sadly, the hot tubs are hidden away from the beach.

Pros: The hotel decor was perfect for the location. I hope the Riu does not change the decor.
Cons: The food was nothing to brag about.

Beautiful location, nice amenities, but dinner reservations are required (in person and only available to make 3 hours per day) if you don't want buffet and men's long pants are also required which we didn't know.
Pros: All inclusive was wonderful.
Cons: It's 10 year age is somewhat showing...dingey grout, cracked toilet, old light which was so wobbly that it fell over and broke in our room from a big gust of wind.

Pros: I loved our room, it was very spacious and so clean. Loved the layout of the pool area, the pools were fabulous. Beautiful location on the ocean. The food was top notch and the service was amazing. Every employee was so friendly and helpful.
Cons: There wasn't much to do on rainy days. Not much for indoor activities. Also, I would've loved them to have a bar with music for dancing in the evening. Need more evening entertainment.
