AAA Inspector Notes
A stay at this inn includes a champagne buffet breakfast and an afternoon "wine and nibble" hour consisting of hot hors d'oeuvres is served on the deck during in season. Some rooms offer ocean views. The name of the inn comes from the year the island was settled. The classic clapboard house was actually built in 1870. There are nine rooms in the main building all with private baths. Next door, at the guest house, there are five economically priced rooms that share two bathrooms. Did not meet all AAA requirements for locking devices in some guest rooms at time of last evaluation on 08/31/2017. Facilities, services, and décor characterize a mid-scale property.
