I've always been enchanted by this inn. Romantic options include rooms with full-canopy four-poster beds, extra-large jetted tubs, and fireplaces.
AAA Inspector Notes
This elegant brick and stucco mansion, built in the 1870s, commands a fine view of an ocean cove and beach. Seamlessly blending the old and the new, guests feel transported to a more genteel time. Elegantly appointed rooms are individually decorated with exquisite furnishings and art that complement various themes, such as the Renaissance room with its heavy blue and gold drapery and reproduced carved-wood furnishings. All rooms have standard luxurious amenities such as the Mascioni bedding, umbrellas, and illuminated make-up mirrors. Every bathroom features heated tile floors and a small flat-screen HDTV, while most offer double hot tubs and separate showers with multiple shower heads. Complimentary bottled water and a changing welcome amenity such as cookies or fresh fruit is provided. Manicured gardens with Adirondack chairs and a stone fire pit perched on a cliff, provide the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and watch the dazzling sunset over the Atlantic. Some of their most spectacular rooms have a secluded gate entrance to your own private garden courtyard that is complete with a sauna and outdoor hot tub for stargazing. Numerous romance packages are available to surprise your special someone including an aromatherapy drawn bath or a ''day at the beach" trip where a staff member will escort you to the beach of your choice and set up a picnic lunch for an additional fee.
