Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, 1 Floral Ave. in Roger Williams Park, is a 12,000-square-foot facility which includes two main greenhouses: The Conservatory and the Mediterranean Room. There are two additional greenhouses, formerly production greenhouses, which hold a mixture of tropical plants and an international food display along with cacti, succulents and tropical fruiting plants. There are more than 150 different species and cultivars of plants, including 17 different palms. Outdoor garden displays include the Perennial Garden, Pine and Hosta Dell, Winter Garden, Wooded Hillside Garden, Overlook Terrace and the Rose Maze.
Guided tours are available and require a reservation at least one month in advance.
