Audubon Society of Rhode Island

Audubon Society of Rhode Island, 12 Sanderson Rd., manages more than 9,500 acres of natural wildlife habitats within the state. The headquarters is surrounded by the 120-acre Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, with 2.75 miles of nature trails. Other refuges include the George B. Parker Woodland in Coventry, the Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge in Exeter and the Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge/Environmental Education Center in Bristol. Visitors can snowshoe or cross-country ski on the grounds. Naturalist programs teach about bird feeding, wildlife and natural history.
