Classic. Since 1972, locals have returned to this hole in the wall for fresh seafood and Italian, Portuguese and American dishes. The atmosphere is very basic with a limited amount of small windows, a faux grape vine dangling from the low acoustic ceiling tiles and a dated pink and white vinyl checkered floor. But, the food is cooked to order and the service is casual but friendly, making guests feel right at home. Appetizers include fried smelts and fried calamari with the right amount of hot peppers on the side. Guests rave about the 'famous seafood special' consisting of spaghetti with chopped littleneck clams, shrimp, langostinos, scallops and mushrooms in a choice of red or white sauce. Many dishes can be served in half or full orders; however, a half order of any pasta dish may be enough for two people to share. The restaurant also features a children's menu complete with a grilled cheese sandwich, hot dog, hamburger, fish and chips and spaghetti or ziti with a meatball.
