For over 100 years, this has been the go-to seafood shack for fresh local seafood, homemade chowder and famous fluffy clam cakes.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. This is one of the last places in the state to get an authentic "shore dinner." The value-priced tasting starts your choice of clear, tomato, or milk-based chowder. The main course includes steamed local lobster or fried fish including the local Point Judith flounder that is served with French fries and coleslaw. It also features any dessert offering that was baked fresh that day, including a laundry list of pies and their popular strawberry shortcake. A la carte options include their signature fried clam cakes that were invented here. This family owned and operated restaurant has been in business since 1920. It's a summertime institution for travelers heading to nearby beaches.
