San Potosí Regional Museum
AAA Editor Notes
San Potosí Regional Museum (Museo Regional Potosino) is at Calle Hermenegildo Galeana #450, a block w. of the Church of San Francisco. Housed in the former Convent of San Francisco, it contains artifacts, historical documents and exhibits relating to the Huastec Indians. The impressively lavish 17th-century Aranzazú Chapel (Capilla de Aranzazú) is in the rear of the building.
The church, remodeled in the 20th century but retaining the original 17th-century sacristy (vestment room) of carved pink stone, is part of the complex as well.
