Wadena & District Museum and Nature Centre is at 302 Main St. S. Housed in a 1904 train station, the museum preserves items relating to the history of the pioneers who settled the area in the early 20th century. Exhibits include antique farm equipment, a 1914 farm house, a country schoolhouse, teacherage (a building that functioned as both school and living quarters for teachers), church, general store, bath house, blacksmith shop and s North West Mounted Police barracks replica. A caboose is adjacent to the station.
