Wood Mountain Post Provincial Park

Wood Mountain Post Provincial Park is 8 km (5 mi.) s. on Hwy. 18. Two buildings are on the site of the North West Mounted Police post that stood here from 1874 to 1918; small stumps outline the rest of the post. Inside the buildings are displays about the Mounted Police, Sioux First Nations and local history. Interpretive staff provide information and answer questions.
