Burial Site of Sitting Bull is 2 mi. w. on US 12, then 4 mi. s. on Sitting Bull Rd. The site is on a hill that commands a splendid view of the Missouri River Valley. Sitting Bull, a Sioux leader, was killed near here in 1890 by Native American police.

About 100 yards from the burial site is a marker commemorating Sacajawea, the Shoshone woman who guided Meriwether Lewis and William Clark on their 1804 exploratory journey to the Pacific.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
