The Center for Birds of Prey is at 4719 N. US 17. Twelve large avian enclosures house more than 100 birds representing nearly 50 species. Visitors can walk the grounds on their own, take a guided tour and watch flight demonstrations. Part of the grounds is dedicated to avian medicine and rehabilitation, oil-spill response and research; these sections are not open to the public.
Thurs.-Sat. 10-5. Guided walking tours depart at 10:30 and 2. Flight demonstrations are given at 11:30 and 3. Tours and demonstrations may be delayed or canceled in bad weather. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
