South Carolina Cotton Museum, 121 W. Cedar Ln., chronicles the history of cotton production in the South. Exhibits include scales, agricultural and textile machines, cotton bales, photographs and a crop duster. A research library relates the history of cotton. Located in the same building, the Lee County Veterans Museum features uniforms, weapons and artifacts from local veterans. Displays represent every American conflict and military branch. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$6; $4 (ages 60+); $3 (students with ID); free (ages 0-5).
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-4. Closed major holidays.
