Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site is at 222 S. Broad St. The 106-acre museum includes the original 18th-century Camden townsite and restored buildings, including the Bradley, Craven, Cunningham, Drakeford and McCaa houses. Also on the site are reconstructions of Revolutionary War fortifications, the powder magazine and a reconstruction of the 1777 Kershaw-Cornwallis House, which British general Charles Cornwallis made his war headquarters. A Revolutionary War reenactment is held the first full weekend in November. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
Admission with self-guided tour $5; $4 (ages 7-15, ages 60+ and military with ID). Admission with guided tour $10; $8 (ages 7-15, ages 60+ and military with ID).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 2-5. Guided Kershaw-Cornwallis House tours are given Tues.-Sat. at 10:30 and 2:30, Sun. at 2:30. Closed major holidays. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
