Gray Line of Charleston tours depart from the Charleston Visitor Center at 375 Meeting St.; free pickup from downtown lodgings is available. The 1.5-hour Historic Charleston tour provides an introduction to the city's history aboard a 25-passenger bus; it includes more than 100 points of interest and a stop at The Battery. The 2-hour Historic Charleston & Restored Home tour includes the historic city tour as well as a tour of the 1803 Joseph Manigault House. The 4.5-hour Historic Charleston and Fort Sumter or 3.5-hour Historic Charleston and Harbor cruise tour offers the historic city tour and a choice of either a boat tour of the harbor or a boat trip to Fort Sumter National Monument. Tour durations may vary depending on the boat schedule.

For visitors who choose to take the boat tour right after the bus tour, transportation is provided to the dock. The boat tour ticket does not expire.
