AAA Editor Notes
John Rutledge House Inn, 116 Broad St., was the house of John Rutledge, a leading South Carolina statesman and signer of the U.S. Constitution. Although it still operates as an inn, walk-in visitors can wander through the restored 1763 house and view public rooms. The house is furnished with antiques and period reproductions. Displayed in the upstairs parlor are items from the restoration.
