Marion Square is at 337 Meeting St.; King and Calhoun sts. are the other boundaries. Also known as Citadel Green, the square is a 6.5-acre green space hosting monuments to John C. Calhoun, vice president to John Quincy Adams, and to Wade Hampton, Confederate general and governor of South Carolina.
The square also contains the Holocaust Memorial and the only remaining section of the bastion system of Colonial defense works. Fronting the square is the Old Citadel Building.
