U.S. Army Basic Combat Training Museum is at Fort Jackson; take Forest Dr. to gate 2, then s. on Jackson Blvd. at jct. Gregg St. Fort Jackson is a U.S. Army Training Center established in 1917. The museum details the history of basic combat training from WWI to the present. Large military equipment—including a helicopter, tanks and half-tracks—is displayed outdoors.
