Elloree Heritage Museum & Cultural Center, 2714 Cleveland St., offers nice displays documenting aspects of rural and small-town life. A re-created streetscape has storefronts of a bank, doctor's office, general store and post office. The birthplace of Elloree's founder is housed within the museum, offering insights into everyday life in the 1800s. An animatronic figure representing him gives an overview of the town's history.
A detailed exhibit about cotton gins includes historic equipment and explains the process of harvesting and refining cotton. The second floor features changing art exhibits.
