The hotel is too expensive compared to other Marriotts (Springfield, Courtyards, Residences etc.), and they all offer at least a continental breakfast. In Florence you have to buy it yourself and every piece (coffee, donat, cake, roll etc) costs extra. In other Marriotts we stayed we payed between $ 89 and $ 116 breakfast included while this in Florence costs $ 129 plus taxes and fees. Not competitive! We recommend AAA to cut it off their recommendation list.
Pros:
Cons: We stayed in many Marriotts during our 3 weeks trip at the East Coast. This was the most expensive one and they even did not serve a breakfast!

Perfectly fine for what it is: a 2 1/2 star hotel. The lack of room service, full-service restaurant, and other touches make it clear that is not a 3 star hotel. The facilities look as if a motel was constructed to that standard and then the management decided to try to upgrade --unsuccessfully. The soundproofing to the hallway is typically poor for a motel constructed at that level, and little can be done to change it at this stage.
Pros: Excellent service from personnel
Cons: Facilities were not at 3 star level
