AAA Editor Notes

The Museum, 106 Main St., houses items pertaining to the late 19th century, including such village reconstructions as an early general store, a-turn-of-the century millinery shop, a cinema and a train depot. Also featured are changing exhibits focused on local history and culture. Tours are available of the Railroad Historical Center, which has seven historic rail cars, including three Piedmont and Northern cars. Guided tours are available.

Hours: Museum open Wed.-Sat. 10-5. Railroad Center open Thurs.-Sat. 10-5, Apr.-Oct. Closed major holidays.
