Originally established in 1944 to satisfy the dietary desires of Italian-American servicemen stationed in the South, the family-owned regional chain serves Italian standards as well as steak and seafood. The atmosphere is inviting and mellow. Specialties of the house include lasagna, baked parmesans and the 10-ounce, dry-aged rib-eye, which is wonderfully tender. The restaurant is only open for dinner service on Saturdays and closes from 2:30 to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
