Historic Brattonsville, 1444 Brattonsville Rd., features more than 30 restored Colonial and antebellum structures, including two house museums. This living history museum covers some 800 acres and includes farmed lands with heritage breed animals, a Revolutionary War battlefield site with an interpretive trail and a nature preserve with miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Seasonal events, re-enactments and living-history programs interpret life in the Carolina Backcountry from the 1750s to the 1850s.

Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 1-5. Last admission 30 minutes before closing. Interpretive programs are offered Sat. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
