This is not one of those showboat restaurants with hibachi tables and entertaining chefs making fire volcanoes and tossing shrimp across the room. At Kanpai a very talented chef works in a small kitchen and creates a wide variety of well-prepared Japanese and Korean dishes and awesome sushi, unlike any other restaurant in the area. The use of exotic fresh ingredients like live sea urchin, live scallops and buttery tuna set this little shop apart. Alcohol is not served, but you are allowed to bring in your own beer and wine.
