Pros: I read this hotel had bad reviews but we went for it anyways. In the off season the price was perfect. We were literally right on the beach. It was clean and we didn't have any problems.

I really enjoyed my stay at Grande Shores. Although I was only able to stay one night I was very impressed by the place.
Pros: I liked the unlimited options of fun (pools, hot tub, splash zone, lazy river) both indoor and outdoor.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that the hotel is like a maze. I had to go all the way around the world to find my room, and once I made it there it was in the creepiest darkest spot of the hotel.

This was my first time in Myrtle Beach and the first time staying at this hotel/resort. I loved the fact that the parking garage is located inside the center and close to your rooms, the staff was helpful with questions, the room was cleaned and there was enough room supplies (towels, kitchen items). Would recommend this hotel/resort.
Pros: I liked that the parking garage was in the center of the hotel/resort and with easy access to the beach.
Cons: The Shoreline Café is great the food is good except the fact that they charge quite a bit for the breakfast buffet.

The hotel is fine. Also having a restaurant on site was also great, except the menu was overly priced and we could not eat a meal there. I think the building is old and could use some upgrades. Other than that our hotel stay was good.
Pros: Access to the beach and area restaurants was a huge plus.
Cons: The fact that we did not get the room that we originally reserved and was told that we would have to pay $137 to upgrade. When we originally booked this hotel, the only amenity that impressed us was the fact that we could have a room with a kitchenette because of our son’s auto immune issues that requires us to cook his meals. We did not care one bit about ocean front or the fact that we could see the beach from our room. There is a never ending list of foods, additives and other preservatives that my son cannot have because of his issues; therefore finding a hotel with a stove was key and this was our only interest. We would not have minded at all if we had to drive a few minutes to the beach. However, the constant back and forth that ensued in trying to convince front desk and Priceline that we originally booked a room with a stove was totally disappointing. Jenna stepped in and was able to honor our request. She was very understanding and accommodating. I will never book a hotel through AAA or any of its partners again. It is not worth the headache.

Cons: internet. It might be caused by storm, according to what room service says, however it took too long for them to come to fix it. I spent three nights and almost four days there, except first night, internet has been unavailable afterward.

Pros: I LOVED this place, the staff was friendly, our room was very clean the maid came every day. It was big enough for my family or 4. The free DVD rental is a plus. You can park right in front of your room. They have a oceanfront pool with a lazy pool, a indoor pool, a rooftop pool with 4 hottubs and another lazy pool. It is right on the beach, we didn't have oceanfront but we did have ocean view.
Cons: They don't have free breakfast but we did have a full kitchen.

Cons: The pools could be cleaner. I did see someone getting the debris out of the outside pools every day but they need to drain the pools and do a deep cleaning to all inside and outside pools during the off season. The housekeeping staff should be mopping all rooms. We switched rooms and I can tell some of the housekeepers are mopping and other housekeepers do not even bother to mop each room that is occupied. You also can tell they do not clean the patio furniture often.

Cons: The staff rushed us out of the hotel as though it was their policy to remove minorities before the 11 am check out. It was disgusting. I will never book with this place again. I was highly insulted. Housekeeping did not clean our room well and they were rude about waking us at 9:30 asking us if we were leaving. We politely said at 11am she came back two more times before 10:30 I was more than ready to go by then. I have stayed in several resorts and I have never been treated this way.

Cons: I upgraded to a 1 bedroom with ocean front and I was given a 1 bedroom condo after complaining about crappy view of tree tops and trash dump from my original reservation. Parking sucked. Returned at midnight and was not one parking space in garage. Had to park in 15 min check-in spot. Had a 4yo and 12yo with me and for $700 for 2 days was not about to park in an overflow lot. Lazy river was filthy. Some creepy guy dressed in a scary clown mask and outfit sitting on pool balcony just staring at everyone at pool. Kids were petrified. Trying to locate ice machines was like a pokemon go game. Ridiculous.

This was reported to the night staff & we were given a 2nd room option & were met with much of the same, a fly infestation & what appeared to be blood stains on the bathroom floor. By this time, I was exhausted after a 15 hour drive from MI. My family & I got back in our car & THANKFULLY were able to find nice, clean & well lit accommodations!
