This attractive old home resembles a hunting lodge and features an extensive taxidermy collection. The menu includes a lineup of steaks, chops, seafood, and Mediterranean veal and chicken dishes, all accompanied by well-blended house sauces. All steaks, including an incredible steak au poivre topped with a brandy cream Dijon sauce, are hand-cut in house. Seafood dishes include shrimp, South African lobster tail, crab-stuffed filets and the restaurant's famous crab cakes. A screened porch provides views of the marsh and wildlife, while the outdoor "Raccoon Cove" deck bar provides an al fresco experience complete with stone fireplace. Out in the back, don't forget to check out the denizens of the raccoon perch as they benefit from discarded bread rolls.
