AAA Editor Notes
Parris Island Museum is on Panama St., Bldg. 111, at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. The museum, located on an active military base, contains displays of uniforms, field equipment, official documents, and photographs relating to the history of the Marine Corps and civilian life on Parris Island. Collections of weapons, ordnance and artillery as well as scale models of aircraft, ships and amphibious landing craft also are displayed.

Note: Photo ID is required. Be prepared to show a driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance and proof of vehicle registration in order to enter the base; vehicles are subject to search.
