Fairfield County Museum, 231 S. Congress St., was built in 1830 as a private residence. A noteworthy example of Federal architecture, the museum contains period furniture and clothing, local memorabilia, Victorian collectibles, farm and kitchen tools and Native American artifacts. The Fairfield County Genealogical Research Room is on the second floor. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
