Adams Museum, at 54 Sherman St., was built by former Deadwood mayor W.E. Adams in 1930. One of the Black Hills' oldest history museums, it has exhibits featuring the town's raucous history and legendary characters, including the Wild Bill Hickok collection.

Hours: Daily 9-5, May-Sept.; Tues.-Sun. 10-4, rest of year. Closed winter holidays.
